ABOUT ME

I have been playing drums for a total of almost 7 years. I have played for multiple churches around the Charlotte area. I currently am honored to be apart of Elevation Worship. I have been blessed to have such a platform to worship the Lord and expand His kingdom to others with the gifts He has given me. I am currently an ambassador and endorser of Heartbeat Cymbals. I have had such a passion for all percussive elements even before I started playing drums.

LIVE PERFORMANCE/STUDIO WORK

There is nothing more I enjoy than playing live and performing for others. Whether it is 1 person, 100 people, 1000 people, etc. I perform in genres such as contemporary worship, rock, metal, country, funk, blues, contemporary pop, r&b, rap, etc. As a drummer, I want to bring the music to life on stage while not adding too much or taking out too little. I will abide by the bands and the music’s needs.

I love to create and record music. If you need someone to help with creating drum parts, I would love to help. If you have those drum parts already written and need someone to record it in your studio, I would be more than happy. Contact me and we can figure out rates! (I do not freelance.)

LESSON DETAILS

Success in learning frequently depends on finding the right Drum Teacher.; someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire others. My teaching style focuses on skills training, but also emphasizes self-exploration and discovering a passion for something new.

HAVE FUN!

I feel that having fun is a vital part to becoming a successful drummer. You can't be successful unless you love to do it. I want to make getting better a fun part of your plan and mission as a drummer.

WARM UPS AND RUDIMENT PRACTICE

I believe warm ups are vital before you play drums. Whether it is live or just practicing in your room. I will teach different stretches and different practice rudiments to warm up your hands and wrists before playing.

DIFFERENT BEATS AND JAM SESSION

I will sit them down on the kit and teach them basic drum beats to practice. I will teach them how to become independent with each individual limb and also how to put it all together into one solid beat. At the end of each lesson I will let my student play whatever song they would like. Whether in reality they can play it or not. I want them to not forget that you can enjoy this instrument. This goes back to the first step in my lesson plan.
